Dying for an Education

Malala, is a capable, persuasive, mighty young Pakistani women who stood up against the Taliban. “One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world.” While we are very privileged to go to school, some kids around the world have to fight to go to school. Children in America view school as a requirement while some kids in third world countries see it as a blessing.

Here in America going to school is a law. Every day I go to school for eight hours. We would rather stay home from school and watch tv, while Malala risked her life just so she could go to school.

In my point of view, I think that every kid should have the right to go to school. Like Malala I think that what she did was admirable because she just stood up for the Taliban so that way she had the right to go to school. Also, some kids around the world don’t have enough money to pay for school, or they have to stay home and work to support their families.

That’s why kids in less privileged countries see it as a blessing, but kids like me take school for granted. Kids in America would rather stay at home, but kids in Pakistan would do anything to go to school for just one day. “When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful.”
